Flagship of the line

The Canon PowerShot Pro1 is the flagship of the PowerShot line and it for sure looks like the "leader" of a prestigious lineup of digital cameras. The camera has an extraordinary 8-megapixels of imaging power, a superb Canon L-series 7x optical zoom lens, includes Fluorite, UD (Ultra-low Dispersion) and Aspherical elements, and a host of professional-level capabilities. For example, you'll find both an electronic viewfinder (EVF) and a 2.0-inch diagonal color LCD monitor with swivel design. This allows for very flexible shooting in a variety of positions. The Pro 1 has ultrasonic focus and zoom motor, remote control and utilities for operating the camera from a computer, an external flash hot shoe, continuously adjustable AF area, a focus bracketing mode, and if the big optical zoom is not enough, there's always the possibility digital multiplication as high as 3.2x. Yet with all its advanced technology, the Pro1 retains the ease of use that PowerShot cameras are famous for.
